Not long, I suspect.

Russia's ability to supply its army over the Dnieper River is much reduced after the bridges were put out of action. Existing ammunition dumps are being destroyed. I wouldn't be so surprised to see an entire Russian army get defeated in Kherson with no means to retreat.

I don't suppose it will take more than a month or so to achieve this much.

Of course, when that happens, Putin's generals won't tell him the gig is up.

But then the Ukrainians will have to decide if they wish to focus on the Donbas or Crimea next. If they take back Crimea and make the bridge over the Kerch Strait unuseable, that will be a second huge win. This would leave retaking the Donbas, which it is easier for Russia to make difficult due to the long border.

I'll look forward to this war ending with Ukraine victorious and Putin bloodied. If he is weakened, he can be replaced and a better Russia may reemerge.

The blood of the Ukrainians may be the seed of a new era of world peace. I hope so. China won't want to be aggressive towards everyone on its own.
