I don't have a strong opinion.
Both are at least exprienced as senior ministers. He's a little too smooth for my taste, somewhat goody-too-shoes and his wife is a billionaire, so he may be a bit detached. She's a Thatcher wannabe, but may not have the best tools for current 2020s circumstances.
You'd probably recognise their place on the political spectrum about where George Bush Senior was. Not anything new or different. Right-leaning but not too dogmatic. And without a manifesto and electoral win under their belts, I doubt they'll do anything drastic.
I just hope they don't face more of the same sorts of challenges Boris did, because responding to big issues is where character and intelligence are especially important. And I just don't know whether these two have it.
I don't see either of them as supersmart, like Boris, but they are probably more likely to care about the small details, which Boris clearly couldn't care less about.
