I agree. Trump was a whole different ball of wax. Boris' lies were pretty small by comparison. Generally, I think he doesn't give a damn about minor rules of behaviour. Others are stricter. He wriggles like crazy to avoid acting like a schoolteacher to other adults. It's not the worst flaw, especially setting it beside successes like Brexit, vaccine development and supporting Ukraine.
The good news from the Boris story. The UK Conservatives still have a grip on the importance of speaking the truth.
But now we face the great risk of the party electing a poor leader, especially a Remainer.
