"A house-wife is NOT a slave."

I wouldn't expect you, a white man, to have the slightest idea what it's like to be a house-wife in a male-dominated society, tricked into marrying a loser who comes home from work every day expecting to find his wife awake, dinner already ordered AND a clean diaper on the baby. But to see how most people, FAIR-minded people feel, I showed your post to the women at my A.A. meeting, to both my neighbor and her wife, and to some teenage divorcees looking for a job at Girls! Girls! Girls!. Would you believe that not one of them agreed with you? I also showed it to a biker chick who pulled up alongside me as I was crossing the street. She didn't give me her answer in words but now I have to clean some yellow spit off the screen. Thanks a lot for that.

Positively screw up.

Faux_Clo > Slavery still exists, but in modern America, the word for it is HOUSEWIFE.

There have been reams of sit-coms reputing to show how much harder it is to be a house-wife than the working breadwinner for the house. . .

But sit-coms are not necessarily reality.

A house-wife is NOT a slave. A house-wife should be a co-equal partner in the marriage. However, there are some husbands with no financial sense - and in some of those cases the wife rules the roost and handles all the money. In other cases the woman is less bright than a box of rocks . . .

But, overall the institution of marriage has served the human race pretty well for several thousands of years.
