That could change if she manages to discredit Trump with the bulk of her party. The January 6th commission is making headway.

Trump called the rally.

In the lead-up to the rally, he and his people discouraged the deployment of sufficient numbers of police to protect the Capitol.

He knew his crowd contained people that were armed.

He encouraged them to be angry and to march to the Capitol, inciting the violence which followed.

He knew they planned to stop the recount and to hang Pence.

He wanted to join them at the Capitol and made a serious attempt to go there.

He knew about the violence and for hours failed to tell them to back off.

He said that Pence was a coward and deserved what happened. He encouraged his supporters to believe the election had been stolen.

It was an attempted coup instigated by Trump using a mob. He had failed to overturn the election by all other means. He was desperate to remain president. Mob violence was his last resort.

The sad reality, she will most likely lose her seat.

In that case, Biden should find a role for her in his administration.
