I do hope Charles understands that. His political views, which are doubtless dearly held, don't deserve a hearing any more than any taxi driver's. The monarchy isn't about that. It's about providing the kernel of constitutional authority, like the paper constitution in the US, but in the form of flesh and blood. The thing that unites us. The thing we know keeps things honest.
