BUT, this article deceptively insinuates that the risk of violence from which they need to protect themselves is coming from police and the much publicized "white supremacist" straw men overhyped by NBC and other lamestream media outlets.
The last, hyperbolic paragraph from this disingenuous article pretty much says it all ... "'There’s been a polarization racially and politically that’s driving that narrative for Black people purchasing guns for protection,' Smith said. 'Folks are saying they don’t want to be out in public without a gun or they might end up like Ahmaud Arbery or Trayvon Martin or countless others who have been killed in the streets.'"
BWHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA - what a crock! In truth, black Americans are arming themselves primarily to prevent being victims to crime perpetrated by other black Americans.
