One other point in the way British politics is different from US politics.

This isn't the one where the middle is in a different place.

It's that the Church of England is a left-of-centre organisation, having a particular interest in the vulnerable. They tend to be fairly useless whenever they enter any discussion, because they don't understand the required balances and compromises governments are required to make. But I prefer a church that strikes worthless positions to the left of centre than one forcing itself on society from the right. Basically, here you just safely ignore them. In the US, they have huge ambitions, which is just what you don't want in a church.

The Catholic church gets tax breaks, they should lose them.

They often have the best real estate, that adds insult to injury. (this is an aside)

Also, what about the politicians that support the death penalty...
I mean if he wants to draw a line, in support of 'life' show some consistency!

This is why I have NO use for 'religion.'

Treat others as you would like to be treated, be the best you can be & live & let live. Amen!
