Maybe, just maybe, a sensible right-of-centre party is there to be rediscovered again.

I wish it to be so, as I'd like to see a no-woke-nonsense party appear on the scene that rests on science, is generally in favour of free trade, leans against increasing taxes and the scope of government (but is flexible during the economic cycle and other circumstances), supports NATO and AUKUS and isn't also brutallist, socially invasive, autocratic and corrupt.

That doesn't seem much to hope for. But in this America, it's crazy optimistic.

Even Republicans can't vote for them ;)

Wisconsin Republicans refuse to endorse any of the candidates for governor, a first for the state party convention
The delegates chose between endorsing former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch for governor and not endorsing anyone. Ultimately, no one prevailed.
