It was a good question. Pleading guilty was the better deal, but he didn't think he was. So the judge said, okay, let's see you in court where you get to make your case.

He's messing with Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, he's the judge that would have put Flynn in prison.

Anthime Joseph Gionet, otherwise known as "Baked Alaska," said he had only agreed to take the deal because he was worried he’d be charged with a felony.
