Living in close proximity led to violence here too. Throw guns into the mix and you produce a lot of deaths.

I'm not sure this would be inter-racial violence. At least not if the covid/lockdown connection is valid.

Gun-related killings rose 35 percent in 2020, a surge that exacted an unprecedented toll on Black men, the C.D.C. said.

More than 45,000 Americans died in gun-related incidents as the pandemic spread in the United States, the highest number on record, federal data show. More than half of the deaths were suicides, which did not increase substantially from 2019 to 2020.
