Understood. I am sure you are right that opposition to abortion and hence the elimination of a woman's right to choose are behind the thinking.
But on the surface, without doing hard work like reading the whole damn thing, they seem to be saying three things:
1. SCOTUS shouldn't make laws of this importance for the country using case law.
2. It's up to individual states to decide for themselves.
3. That is, unless a federal law is passed.
Maybe I have it wrong, but that's my lazy initial take. You could argue for all of them. But as everyone knows, these are religious people imposing their religious views on the whole of American society.
So much for settled law.
