I am not too excited by polls as an answer to questions like this.
What you have amongst Republican is a now dominant group of thuggish conspiracy theorists willing to support autocracy over democracy in the name of patriotism. The same sort of people who support Putin in Russia.
What you have with the Democrats is a minority of woke, young Puritans and professional victims demanding the enforcement of narrow ideals, who are nevertheless supportive of democracy.
The threat to the world is 100% on the Republican side. This isn't to say simplistic woke folks aren't a total pain in the arse, as nearly all youth movements are. But we'll work our way through it as they grow up and discover that life can be complicated. Same was true for my generation and for me.
