Or put another way, some folks produce rivers of letter vomit. And someone either needs to divert the filth elsewhere or to clean it up.

That's what the social media companies finally did to the inciter-in-chief, Trump. He constantly yelled fire in a crowded digital theatre.

Preferably find ways to exclude people who try to ruin every conversation in which they participate. It's just easier.

The notion that privately-owned free speech platforms have no responsibilty for content is coming to an end.

Although the policing of platforms will doubtless also be subject to abuse.
