Er, we are already in it, even if via Ukraine as a proxy and a battleground. And if Putin takes Ukraine, it gets worse, not better.
So quit being fearful, Germany, as Putin wishes you to be, because by holding back you make things worse. Realise that the way you keep thinking is causing the problem, not the solution.
Instead, supply Ukraine with more of the weapons it needs to kick the Russians out of their country. That's the whole ball of wax. There's no escape from Putin's thuggery any other way.
