Uh... No. Not that heartbreaking. The defendant had previously been stopped by police investigating drug crimes and who he argued were thereafter out to get him. Why do you suppose the police might have had it in for him??? Police are pretty busy guys, after all. Per his testimony, he did not commit the murder for which he was convicted because on the night in question he'd been in a fight "with an individual named Roberto." A great alibi though Roberto couldn't be found. Sounds to me like your heartthrob is a bit of a troublemaker.

As for 32 years being a "lifetime," heh. Hyperbole, clo? Or were you thinking of your cat??
