The fact she is pro-Putin, though, suggests there's something truly rotten in the way she thinks.

Turns out she is also anti-NATO. Ugh.

I really don't like Macron. But maybe we are better off being stuck with him.

I think she wins the French election.

Other positions she's taking look like they will be quite popular.

Being sceptical of the benefits of mass immigration looks likely to be popular [it's a proportion thing].

Encouraging more sovereignty from the EU is fairly popular [the federal Europe idea is not popular with many voters].

Seeking energy independence is surely popular right now [or put another way, Germany is what energy dependence looks like and it means weakness].

But her pro-Putin position is untenable [if she's lucky, Putin will be replaced].
