Good start.
I think the tide of Ukrainians is such that we all may need to do more. Maybe the UK will have to take 50-100k and the US 250-500k. But hopefully, they will all be able to return home within a year or two or four, after the war is won and the country rebuilt.
Meanwhile, Germany must somehow absorb several million Ukrainians. The price of its chosen policies of dependency on Russian gas and failure to invest in its own military, which encouraged Putin in his adventure. They saved the 2% of GDP they should have put into their own defence. Now they must pay for refugees.
