He did. And not trying to rain on the parade.
But also, it's just a video and what's going on in Ukraine isn't a movie. Did the video have any effect? Did it change Russian minds? Did it help deliver weapons to Ukraine?
I wish it had. But I doubt it.
It may have more of an impact on an American audience and its wish to be seen to do heroic things, Hollywood-fashion, than on the actual conflict.
For we western people, the most impact we can offer is to support Ukraine financially and militarily. There's no substitute in celluloid for the grim reality of normal, peaceful human beings who are being killed in large numbers by a monster who simply doesn't care.
For the Russians, the battle with Arnie is banter. Meanwhile, their artillery is reducing parts of Ukraine to rubble.
