the problem with your man centric thought is that scripture was written at the around just after the death of Christ.
LOTS of countries were not around or named plus I am pretty sure that the omniscient God knew full well in advance what countries were going to evolve, form, become,whatever words we canuse to describe them because HE is in the PAST, Present, and FUTURE at all time and not bound by time.
So, between His omniscience and omnipresence he would know full well what is to come.
So I do not subscribe to that theory pretty much based on the ages of the texts, and I have seen and handles some of the very earliest manuscripts as well Bibles in various languages at Bible Conferences and seminars. The last one Iwas at was about five years ago and I handled a Bible that Martin Luther himself had handled.
The nations will likely be here but not in prominent roles as the end times constitute mostly the Arab world nations coming to destroy Israel and Jerusalem in particular.
They have only one major problem. Almight God called Israel HIS WIFE in scripture literally..

Anyway, the dates of the scripture and texts predate the UNited States by a long time but that does not mean that the same God who gave prophets of old knowledge of events to come that would happen to Israel more than a century in advance , and they did happen, or naming the Double Davidic line of heirship of Christ a millenia ahead of time does not pose a problem for a GOD who is not bound by time or space or power or foreknowledge of events to come.. It is HE who planned them and brought them to pass. The same one who SPOKE and created the Heavens including earth and all the other planets in this and every other solar system. He named each and every star.
It was HE who asked HIS SON to take on the form of man and to die for them to provide redemption for us and so Christ became a baby in Mary and she never had relations with any man..
So some things we simply need to take HIM at His word and know that if HE said it, recorded it, be assured it is going to come to pass just like everything else We have record of has come to pass..
