Russia’s ongoing attack of neighboring Ukraine has drawn international condemnation from world leaders — even from some of its political allies in Europe such as the leaders of Hungary and the Czech Republic. “Russia has committed a crime against peace,” Czech President Milos Zeman said in an address, according to the Associated Press.

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the invasion of Ukraine on three fronts early Thursday, Feb. 24, and has attacked its capital Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who reportedly remains in the country to fight, called the invasion a “declaration of war against the whole of Europe.”

I sure hope so.

China is acting cautious & other countries that usually back Putin have condemned him.

If these numbers are correct Russian parents will be very angry.

At least 198 Ukrainians have been killed so far, Ukraine’s health minister said Saturday, and more than 1,100, including children, have been wounded. According to Ukraine’s defense minister, some 3,000 Russian troops have been killed in the fighting.

That would be an unprecedented number, though experts said all these statistics should be treated with extreme caution because of the fog of war and the incentives both Russia and Ukraine have to push a particular narrative.
