Huh. I'd have thought market forces was the way to go.

It may seem unfair, but well, now will women playing American football demand the same pay as men? Will American male models demand the same pay as females?

I really don't like the courts intruding in these sorts of things, unless there's clear corruption of some sort.

I agree that it is surprising that American women aren't paid as much. But if there's a business opportunity there to restructure the women's game or to generate more income so as to reward players better, then why not solve the problem by commercial means? If there isn't, then why jerry-rig the market?
