UK GDP grew 7.5% in 2021

That was a decent bounce back after a hard 2020.

I know the newspapers are more interested in whether Boris attended parties and for how long, but for me, managing the country through covid and Brexit was the main thing over the last two years.

And it turns out Brexit hasn't done more damage to the UK than it has to other European economies. And in covid terms, after a bad start, we've had a strong vaccination programme.

So I'd say he's done fairly well, even if Downing Street does seem to have been somewhat casual about covid rules.

Sometimes, a leader isn't perfect in every way. That's sorta how the world works. Alexander sacked Thebes and slew Cleitus. Churchill was a drunk. But they did well on the big ticket items.
