"they were mean to Trump".

At the party’s winter meeting in Salt Lake City, it will consider a resolution rebuking Cheney and Kinzinger for their participation on the House select committee. The document, obtained by The Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey, essentially spends 500 words to say what could be summarized in five: “They were mean to Trump.” (Well, six: “WHEREAS they were mean to Trump.”)

The 500 words are filled with Trumpisms and nonsense, culminating in this complete delusional break from reality:

“Representatives Cheney and Kinzinger are participating in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”

Umm.

So exactly when did seditious conspiracy become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did kicking in windows and doors of the U.S. Capitol become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did beating police over the heads with the American flag, fire extinguishers, and baseball bats become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did scaffolding erected to hang the vice president become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did assaulting police with pepper spray and bear spray become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did planting pipe bombs become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did spreading feces on the walls of the U.S. Capitol become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did using a “dangerous or deadly weapon” -- at least 75 people have been charged so far -- against a police officer become 'legitimate political discourse'?

When did destruction of government property become 'legitimate political discourse'?

The cult of the insane has subsumed the republican party.
