It’s not the right that is being taxed, idgit. It’s the actual possession of a firearm. The Constitution allows and the Supreme Court has agreed time and again that local jurisdictions can say how gun ownership is handled within their borders. Like, so e require permits, others don’t. Some allow constitutional carry, most don’t. Conceal Carry requires a permit, fees, fingerprints etc.

I don’t know about the fees though, but then again we have fees for boats, fishing, a zillion different things, legal gun fees are one more thing to get …..used to.  

...you do not have a right to own a boat or to fish. A tax on a constitutional right won't stand the judicial test. You will lose again
