I've changed my mind on Djokovic because of this:

"The 34-year-old revealed to Australian border officials that he is unvaccinated, and recently admitted to attending an interview with a French journalist despite knowingly testing positive for Covid in the days prior."

Knowingly. That is reckless endangerment. That's worse than being an arsehole and an antivaxxer. It's detrimentally forcing your own kooky beliefs on others. He needs to be banned from tennis and from travelling until the pandemic is over.

The risk countries are worried by is not so much individual as systemic. The individual risk for jabbed people is not much different from flu. The collective risk: too many cases at once may cause hospital bed shortages.

I don't think Djokovic increases that risk in Australia. He's had omicron.

People who are arseholes are usually allowed to travel and play tennis in spite of it. Remember John McEnroe?

He explained that he didn't get the results immediately. Must have been the other sort of test.
