Indeed. But she thought she was holding a taser, which is not a deadly weapon. The law usually considers a person's intention. Her intention was to subdue him, not to kill him.

These sorts of things will happen with split-second decisions using these sorts of weapons.

I am so happy that the UK police do not usually carry deadly weapons because in most circumstances, criminals don't have guns.
