I watched most of the trial.
I was shocked at the verdict. I thought they might find her guilty of second degree manslaughter, which they did on 12/21 at 10:30 am.
They found her guilty of first degree yesterday afternoon.
She took the stand, and she didn't help herself.
She was a 26 yr veteran. She was 'training' a rookie, and said if she was by herself she wouldn't have even stopped him, for having an 'air freshener' hanging from his mirror & expired tags (many were expired due to Covid) and they were told to let them slide.
She lied & was combative. Her tears were for herself, she did nothing to help anyone at the scene, including the other cops.
Have you seen her mug shot after she was found guilty? She has this happy face, it is weird, insulting.

Her lawyers did NOT help her, especially Mr Gray. He blamed the victim. He's old school & was insulting & offense at times.
I didn't think prosecutor Frank did a great job, but he did enough with his female prosecutor partner. She did the cross of Kim Potter.
The jury took 28 hours & 4 days, they were thoughtful.
The 12 who deliberated included six White men, three White women, two Asian women and one Black woman.
She will probably serve 7+ years.
Do something positive.
