They are culpable, they knew he was having problems, yet bought him this gun for CHRISTMAS!

Even after having to go to the school that morning, seeing the drawing showing the body of someone shot & blood, etc. they never asked him if he had the gun in his backpack!

They said he should go back to class, even after being told by the school he needed to see physic help within 48 hours.
They knew he had access...

$500,000 bond for each parent.

This escape was never going to work.

If their son was insane, as seems possible, they ought not to be especially culpable, except for not securing the weapon.

Generally-speaking, the US always wants to find someone to blame. But re guns, the responsibility belongs to the whole country, which has the stoopidest laws imaginable.
