At this stage of his education, Joey's goal is to beef up the resume. This startup, although unknown to you and me, is creating a great deal of excitement in Silicon Valley right now. When I google what it does in vague terms, the first two articles are about it. The next three are about a 6-year-old firm in the same field snapped up this year by Intel for $2 billion.

Being associated with the company so early on that it is still in stealth mode, and hopefully making a difference, is more important to Joey than the salary. He'd rather work for a tiny but exciting company at its inception than go to Google, Apple, AMD or Intel and be one of thousands few of whom will ever make a difference. I support him in this. I've always told him that the time to take a chance is early in his career. It doesn't get much earlier than this.
