I wont be able to eat again per se....I can GRIND UP FOOd REAL SMALL. tHEY CANT PUT IN TOO BIG A STENT FOR IT WOULD FLOW RIGHT BACK UP MY THROAT, and all over the place. The j tube will be mentioned when I go in in a few days for the first visit. When I was in the hospital, the rad guy said I will be on the feed tube forever. I kinda blew that off and mentioned it after I got out of the hospital. And after lastnight, i CAN SEE i WILL BE ON THE FEED TUBE TILL i DIE. i WILL START Grinding UP CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP AND THE LIKES, i AM ROTTEN INSIDE and it will be my feeding thing I must do............

And DE if you knew the pain I am in every morning now, Just the thought of taking something bad I have already and making it 10 times worse, I cant do that, The dry heaves are terrible, and hurt like hell EVERY morning.......

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Re: “At my stage of cancer, this sounds like it will cause more problems then it will solve.............”
Why are they considering a stent but not a J-tube? And, before you rule out a stent, how taxing a procedure is it? It sounds easily reversible... so why not give it a try? Being able to eat again, enjoying the taste of a meal and hopefully putting on weight would all be really nice, right?

You may not have the energy for this; I understand. But if you do and the doctors concur, you should give it a try. What do you have to lose?
