I hope the UK didn't pay that much. The NHS [ie the UK's National Health Service] has already purchased 250,000 doses. Perhaps a discount for bulk buying and providing a marquee first purchase?
Sick people don't pay anything for the prescription, which is a great benefit to them. But of course taxpayers pay.
