...I dunno how it was with the grunts, but the officers who were in the rear with the gear spent their time trying to get ya to say something so they could write ya up for insubordination. Silent insubordination is another thing they love. That's when they hang you out to dry for what your thinking. It can be determined by body language amongst other things. Had a second lt at camp lejeune who took it upon himself to nail my hide to the wall so he could have a scalp to show when promotions came out.

I have spent many hours thinking about that incident and what I could have said that would not have landed me in the stockade. Disagreeing would be insubordination, not replying ditto and giving him a smartass answer would as well.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
