In the country, the problems aren't as bad as in the cities, as the issue isn't that there's insufficient food. It's getting things from the country into the cities that is difficult. Too few haulage drivers and difficulties at the pump.
In the UK, the wages paid to drivers has shot through the roof. With the result that a lot of bus drivers have moved across into the haulage industry. Maybe there's a shortage of bus drivers now, but it hasn't been reported.
