To get to the point that people think they are acting in support of the constitution while staging a coup, you have to suppose these coup-plotters think the laws which have been passed and/or their administration and/or the election process are some distance from constitutional.
It's nice not to have that gap. Because the Trumpsters occupy that space in the US. Not a single one of them seems to have a sophisticated legal mind. But that's where they are. Obviously they are unhappy about something. But I am not sure they have the chops to fiure out what is the root cause of it.
For me, the US constitution is the problem. Tablets of stone are doomed over the long run.
