No wonder she is taking her case to a US civil court where the evidential requirement is lower, the payouts are a wonderful incentive and she can pull the "poor me victim" card and use his royal title against him.
Folks forget she made a similar claim against Alan Dershowitz and he presented evidence demonstrating she was a liar. He also pointed out other people about whom she lied including Al and Tipper Gore, both of whom deny ever meeting her. He says she will be jailed for perjury.
"She said she saw President Clinton on the island. Secret Service records prove that couldn’t have been the case. She just [went] through the Rolodex and has made up stories and nobody has been checking into them."
That this case has ever reached a court is a disgrace. That US courts allow such a case to damage the life of any prominent foreign person just shows why so many find the concept of American justice to be an oxymoron. It incentivises liars by threatening gigantic penalties and making settlement the easy option. This does real damage to the US. In the end, that is how it is going to play out. The UK won't be happy that a dishonest American tried to extort a payout from a member of the royal family and offered him no protection from her.
