I am not against AK. I don't know her too well. She seems nice enough. But the US desperately needs someone to fix the constitutional/ governance/ wacky citizenry flaws. Is she that person? I don't know. That is a real I don't know, not a sarcastic one.

I am not tossing out Kamala. She was my anti-Trump choice. I liked that she seemed tough enough for that job. But the issues are different next time.

If you can't find a Dem to fix the whole system, I think the US is just going to slide away. It is a good model for generating wealth but lousy at spreading it. It has some excellent medical facilities but horrible life expectancy. Rich folks take helicopters. Poor people drive on potholed roads. No wonder so many people are angry. Gross inequality is about as bad for ordinary folks as enforced equality.

I hope your conservatives decide to follow the Boris model. There's a warm place where he is operating. He's about where I am on the political spectrum. His difficulty is practical.
