Appeals court reversed the earlier ruling.
The GOP's politicisation of SCOTUS is a disaster. It has has lost its reputation as an impartial body interpreting the law and the constituion. The GOP damages everything it touches.
Even the territory of political debate is barren because of it. There are things to discuss. But US politics doesn't even cover them, because it is an argument between a party that believes in facts and one that makes up whatever fits its agenda.
This doesn't end up with the US as the most powerful country in the world. The US will look something like Brazil on the world stage if this continues for decades.
