A couple of things that might make your new puter a little more friendly.
I suggest getting a USB port type A hub. The hub simply plugs into your existing usb type A slot on your laptop but it provides you with a total of 4 USB slots you can use on it. Likely tour laptop came with TWO USB slots so now you would have 5 available for USB flash drives.

2. The other thing that may serve you well is a plug in dvd/cd player. You can always use someting that can read a disc and these are perfect for this.. I carry one in my laptop case as well. I can play any disc I have on it..
You could have a store out there that may well sell these things if you are interested. I just wanted to bring it to your attention so that you could know how to upgrade the laptop a little and get a cd/dvd reader/player/burner to go with your laptop which may or may not have come with your laptop. If it did you are in good shape. If not, here is how you can add it easily...
