I had a niece, my oldest one, who did the same thing. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer when she was a child, not even 12 years old.
She battled it for the remainder of her life as it had eventually spread to some surrounding tissues and she was taking radiation treatments regularly. Some forms or types are more aggressive than others. Some people successfully beat them. Some do not.. I do not know why other than it may have a lot to do with the type of cancer cell it is or maybe genetics play a part..
But the one things this all has in common is that if you want to kill it and have a fighting chance, then the raditaion is a must. Targeted.. That is why the mapping was done..
My neice lived for another 30 years and a few more after the diagnosis. She literally had a large portion of the stomach removed so she lost some weight as well and she did not have any weight to spare.
So you can beat this. You may outlive it and die of natural old age.. But a cancer doctor is going to be in your life and future to keep you as safe as they can...
I am very happy you are home and resting and we are ALL aware of your keyboard and internet abilities.. lol!!
The resting is what I am happy about. Keep a strong attitude bro. It is imperative.. You are in a fight now to see who is going to be victorious. So be tough and single minded. You can win and it will take perseverence and will to do so.
A LOT of prayer and talking with the Lord will improve your chances...
HE alone can cure you. If it is His will HE has the power to heal anyone. It happens and there is no human explanation. Faith CAN move mountains.
Anyway, I am very glad to see you and wish you a wonderful restful day in yer own home! No place better than your own bed..
Later...
