Nor have I forgotten about him whining about preferential
tax rates on long term capital gains and qualified
dividends as 'not right'. . . Never once was he smart
enough to realize that at his income level he should
have had part of his moneys invested in such a manner as
to take advantage of those lower rates.
Think about it now . . . Long term capital gains taxed
at 20% versus withdrawals from an IRA or 401K taxed at
closer to 30% ? Should be a no-brainer.
