First, let's fix the corrupt infrastructure plan to get rid of the pork it so obviously includes for partisan (liberal) causes. Then it really will be an infrastructure plan. Then pass it.

The pink part of Biden's Economic plan is the Infrastructure Plan - except that it includes In-Home Care, Community Investment (payouts to liberal politicians), Innovation, H.B.C.U.'s (black colleges), Underserved Places, Supply Chain Support, Dislocated Workers, Pandemic Prep., Rural Areas, Climate Technology, National Science Foundation, R&D, Semiconductor Industry, Small Businesses, Clean Energy, Workforce Development - and, if you dig into what the other budget items actually mean, undoubted many more. These things are NOT infrastructure. Get them then hell out of the plan. Then at least it won't be dishonest.

Unfortunately, even with the plan limited to infrastructure, there is also the issue that America cannot afford all the cool stuff that any squeaky wheel wants. The point of infrastructure improvement, after all, is to spend money on the physical improvements that will best boost the economy. "Remove lead pipes," for instance, is nice but may as well be considered pure charity to the people of Flint. Buying them new houses makes as much sense as fixing their pipes... though, of course, I mean that it makes as LITTLE sense as fixing their pipes. It's up to them to fix their own pipes since the problems of one small community do not rise to the scope of a federal project with nationwide economic benefits. If we're going to bail out Flint then, so be it. But at least be honest and call it charity, not infrastructure.
