Driving across country, I'll bet that we didn't see 100 masks on people who were not working. Some of the hotels, their employees were wearing masks and some restaurants. The most masks among employees was at Wall Drug, but I think only one or two other customers had masks on. My wife and I wore masks whenever we were in a store or a restaurant and when not in our room at hotels.
As for Arches and Monument Valley, I've been through it twice already, but would like to take more time, so we're planning something in the Fall when it's cooler. We might also include a side-trip to the Grand Canyon.
