the only person you are hurting is yourself by depriving yourself of medical treatment that you need.
I have had three covid tests this year alone. The nose swab test was over in a couple seconds and no, they do not go very far in your nose at all. I have had the throat swab done as well. Negative on all of them.. But I knew that before I took them.
I HAD to take them in order to have my spine surgery and to get the medical treatment I needed to have. My surgeon and his team had a right to know I would not be passing Covid on to any of them, or the team of neorologists or the the anesthesiologist, or nurses who would be taking care of me for three days..
It wasn't too much to ask.. Took less than 12 seconds..
It is easier to catch flies with honey. I could have thrown the same temper tantrum you did and took my baseball bat and gone home because I was right, I knew I was right, and nobody was going to tell me I had to take a test I knew I did not need...
And yet, the hospital staff and the doctors also had a right to know that if they were going to help get me well and able to walk again. they would not get seriously sick from me scientifically.
They know thee tests are not foolproof.. But its all most of the troops on the lines have...
Swallow your pride, humble yourself a little, and take the test, get the negative result like you know you will, and feel good about it. Then get the medical help you need..... PRIDE goeth before a fall and from what you said your condition is, you are headed for a huge fall quickly because of being stubborn.
I did it. You can too. You need to and you should for the sake of those who are going to help you get well.
