Hmmm. And then where mine are they don't get as much
sun as one might want. One of them is almost under
an oak tree . . . and it is a lot shorter than the
other one.

Of course, mine is about ten years old and bearing nothing as yet. But its trunk died during that deer attack and the "tree" is really just a branch that grew off the trunk, so I don't have high expectations.
