Its a beauty of a day here and so we got out of dodge for a spell and went east to where the Amish community is located included Millers, which is a large place with everything and anything for sale including real wood made furniture. I bought my solid cherry dining room table and chairs from them a few years ago and it will be a family heirloom..
Today we were looking for a new dresser big enough to replace my chest and her dresser. This will reduce some of the space taken up by them in our bedroom.
We found a beautiful cherry dreser that has very large and deep drawers in it, 8 of them to be exact. That should do it.
I ordered it a little bit ago. Should be a couple weeks before they deliver and bring it in and set it up for me.
I ordered the matching nighstand tables only I needed them made a different size. For only a $35.00 upcharge I can get them exactly at what I what,, The downside is they won't be available until after January due to shortages of lumber and time to make it. No biggie. We'll just use our existing ones until then..
Can't wait to get the new dresser in..
Now I will have Virginia House fine furniture DResser with mirror and my five drawer chest both in solid Maple and in like new condition for sale. It has lasted us a long time and because it is very well made real wood it is almost like new still.
I don;tt hink we will have any trouble selling it for a fraction of what we paid for it back in 1980. A few hundred dollars should be steal for stuff we bought for more than five times that back then.
Anyway, miz micro is happy. Now I got to somehow empty out the drawers and move the furniture out of bedroom so the new piece can come in.. Always something....
