Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
THIS verse is twofold. John is warning the Church body to LOOK to themselves, BE ALERT to closet wolves in sheep's clothing who would pervert the scripture and deviate from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Once that is allowed to happen then people stop coming to Christ by Faith and hence will not have their neames written down in the Lamb's Book of Life as One of HIS, and will miss out on being in HIS Presence for eternity and receiving rewards from HIM for doing HIS Will here on earth..
People who twist and pervert the SCRIPTURES will receive an especially bad judgment from God.. Those are HIS WORDS and INSTRUCTIONS to US and it is a special arrogance that thinks it knows more than HIM...
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry GOD.. More people should know and hear this warning from GOD...
