Interesting enough, we find in Luke's gospel in the 19th chapter a familiar passage that is often overlooked.
Jesus Chris is heading to Jerusalem to finish the work God the Father had given HIM to do, which was to REDEEM mankind
and provide a plan of salvation for fallen man that was aceptable and atoned for all of our sins once for all time and all people.
The ONLY sacrifice that could be offered to GOD that was sufficient to pay that sin penalty for all people was the PURE, UNDEFILED, HOLY BLOOD of the SON of GOD, Jesus Christ..
So here we have Christ riding on a Donkey toward and into Jerusalem and saying:
Luke 19:37
And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Luke 19:38
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Of course the religious leaders did not like their authority being usurped by anyone, including the Creator of the entire universe and everyting in it..
So they said:
Luke 19: 39
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
In other words, tell your disciples to shut up and stop praising YOU for being the Messiah and Lord of ALL...
We are jealous and envious and will not stand to have all this attention brought to YOU.. WE did not give you permission to do this..... SILENCE !!!!
SO, our Lord quietly rebukes the heathen leaders and states that
Luke 19: 40)
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
The testimony of the CREATOR of all things was that even what we consider to be an inanimate object such as a stone or rock will recognize the creator of the Universe, HIS power and authority, and would cry out in pariase of HIM and worship HIM for WHO HE IS and what HE alone has done...
ALL LIFE begins with Jesus Christ and ENDS with HIM ...
The good news my friend is that life does not end with death. Itis only the beginning of eternity for us..
You see, you never cease to exist. Your spirit that is inside you is ETERNAL.. JESUS CHRIST made you that way when He breathed into ADAM and gave ADAM a piece of HIMSELF, that HOLY eternal breath of LIFE that never ends, just as HE never has an end either....
So our Spirit leaves our ody at death and goes to live for eternity n one of two places..
Either in Heaven which Jesus has prepared a place for us to live with HIM for eternity, or we will live forever and be tormented forever in a place prepared for Satan and his demons and fallen angels called HELL.
Hell was never intended for mankind. GOD always provided a plan of salvation for all men and women by simpl;y faith and trust in HIM through HIS GRACE and mercy..
ALL one need do is confess to HIM that you have sinned against HIM, and you are sorry for your sins and wantt o repent of them, and ask HIM to forgive you and to be your Lord and Savior from tis moment for eternity..
Jesus Will immediately accept you and your name will be recorded in HIS book of life... The Holy SPirit will seal you immeidately and keep you unto that day of redemption when we will leave this body and be present with the Lord for all eternity.. He isnot willing that ANY should perish butthat ALL should come to repentence, a saving faith in Jesus and live with HIM forever in the PLACE HE prepared for you.
Some people simply cannot or are unwilling to trust in HIM and what HE has done vbecause they cannot see HIM.
They are too intellectual and cannot seem to leave human reasoning behind and trust as a little child the ONE who gave HIS LIFE for them that they may live with HIM for eternity...
By faith, turn to Christ and ask HIS forgiveness and to be your Savior before the Trumpet Sounds and you are left behine to the horrors of God's Wrath for the earth to come..
