‘This is not journalism’: Reports about IDF airstrike on media building in Gaza are burying (or totally avoiding) something

http://twitchy.com/dougp-3137/2021/05/15/this-is-not-journalism-reports-about-idf-airstrike-on-media-building-in-gaza-are-burying-or-totally-avoiding-something/

The Associated Press and other media outlets have condemned an Israel Defense Forces strike on a building in Gaza where the AP, Al Jazeera TV and others worked. According to the IDF, Hamas also worked out of the building, which was the reason it was destroyed after giving a one-hour warning to evacuate.

Now that the stories are coming out, it’s clear that there are certain aspects that the media will downplay, if not flat-out fail to mention:

Omri Ceren ~ This AP article says Israel destroyed media building but leaves out it was being used by Hamas. Says electricity in Gaza is off but leaves out that Hamas rockets took out power lines. Says Israel killed a Lebanese protester but leaves out he was Hezbollah.

So much “journalism”!

Guy Benson ~ Did Hamas @ap stringers write the article? This is not journalism. It’s something quite different and legitimately sinister.

Katie Pavlich ~ You would think media would now understand or be outraged over Hamas terrorists using them as human shields, but apparently they are too obtuse or are deliberately lying about the situation.

Starship Alves ~ I'm starting to see why Hamas had an office in the same building as AP.

The same detail was not mentioned in this Axios story:

Axios ~ "The world will know less about what is happening in Gaza because of what happened today."

AP and Al Jazeera condemned the Israeli airstrike that destroyed a high-rise building in Gaza that housed their and other media offices.

Isn’t giving both sides of the story straight out of Journalism 101? But that doesn’t exist anymore — at least not often:

But, slobbering libtard bootlickers like the Pffffarters don't want both sides of any story ... they only want to be outraged by the leftist-approved narrative.

Rolling Eyes

Jerry Dunleavy ~ This article makes no mention of the IDF's claim that the building also contained "Hamas military intelligence assets." Seems relevant.

Just a little relevant, yes.

Sweatimus Prime ~ Maybe they should condemn their sharing office space with terrorists currently trying to murder civilians.

Burying the lede much?

Phillip H. Briggs ~ Hamas chose this location, for this very reason ... it was a 'safe' spot to operate.

Marc J. Randazza ~ Israel gave them notice, so nobody would get killed.

So what can a reporter not see from outside their offices that they could see while inside their offices?
