Better question is why are the computers that control the pipeline even "ON" the internet???? Why not a closed system not subject to hackers from all over the globe?
The manual system would be alright as well but my goodness why can;t a complete computer system be just that, networked but NOT use the internet?????

I cant understand with PIPELINES and valves they dont have a manual backup system to take care of things. Tooooo much reliance on big tech, internet and easy to hack stuff.
